  1. The  following  files in conjunction with your dBASE III  version  
  2. 1.0  files  will provide you with an executable backup . 
  3.  
  4.         1)Db3zap.Unp (instructions for procedure)
  5.         2)Db3zap.Bat (batch file that does the patching)
  6.         3)Db3zap.Bin (overlay needed by the batch file)
  7.  
  8. Format  a new disk and place the following files on it using  the 
  9. DOS "copy" command.  Do not apply this patch to your original! 
  10.  
  11.         dBASE.Exe  (from your dBASE III distribution disk)
  12.         dB3ZAP.Bat (the zap procedure)
  13.         dB3UNP.Bin (overlay for zap procedure)
  14.         Debug.Com  (from your DOS distribution disk)
  15.  
  16. Ensure  that there is at least 6K of free space on the new  disk.  
  17. Place  the  new diskette into  the  default drive and  issue  the 
  18. batch command "DB3ZAP".
